I am an Assistant Professor at the Alberta School of Business, Department of Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Management.

My research is primarily centered around the question, How do emerging technologies influence work and organizations? I have conducted two research projects focused on addressing this question: a digital ethnographic study of a distributed financial organization engaging in cryptocurrency market manipulation online, and an ethnographic study of AI development at an elite teaching hospital in China.

Research from my dissertation was nominated for several awards including the 2020 Strategic Management Society Annual Conference “Best Paper Prize,” “Best PhD Paper Prize,” and “Strategy Practice Interest Group Best Paper Prize,” as well as the 2021 EGOS Best Student Paper Award. I was a finalist in the 2021 INFORMS/Organization Science Dissertation Proposal Competition and winner of the EGOS That’s Interesting! Paper Award 2022.
